Spanish term or phrase: recepción municipal
Can someone tell me the English term for this? I looked in the forum discussions and they all seem to refer to reception of the work by the client, not to the recognition by the municipality that the new construction exists (against payment of the appropriate tax!).

Thanks - I'm not really sure that this "trámite" exists in the English speaking world - I've never built a house! An internet search suggests that "municipal acknowledgment" is not much used as a set phrase. However it will solve the problem for today. Many thanks
