Spanish to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Construction / Civil Engineering / building | | Spanish term or phrase: acabados // terminaciones | I can't figure out how to distinguish between 'acabados' and 'terminaciones'. I always thought they were the same thing. In this text 'acabados' seems to be a phase prior to 'terminaciones'. Have a look at the example:
Acabados e instalaciones: fontanería, electricidad, carpintería de taller, yesos, solados y alicatados, aparatos sanitarios.
Terminaciones: pintura, vidriería, varios.

| | trades and installations / finish work | Explanation: I think they do mean the same thing normally, it's just that here they don't. I'd try it like above.

Actually, some doubt. Someone might come up with a better answer. |

1 hr confidence: peer agreement (net): +1 The application of trim and of finishes.
Explanation: Trim generally is the mill work around windows and doors, around the ceiling line and aginst the floor. Finishes are paint varnish, tile etc.
This whole building phase is however simply cann the finish phase
