"Distinción entre servicios «lineales» y «no lineales»
La nueva Directiva define el concepto de «servicios de medios audiovisuales» introduciendo una distinción entre:
servicios lineales*, que designan los servicios de televisión tradicional, Internet, y telefonía móvil que los telespectadores reciben pasivamente, y
servicios no lineales*, es decir, los servicios de televisión a la carta que los telespectadores pueden escoger (servicios de vídeo a la carta, por ejemplo)."
