Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Tech/Engineering - Construction / Civil Engineering / tunnels
Spanish term or phrase: perchado
The Spanish text deals with wiring and fittings of tunnels for high-speed trains. The only thing I find for "perchado" deals with fabric. Please help.

24 Ud. bajada de cable **perchado** a túneles. Incluye el suministro, desde altura de **perchado** hasta la conexión con arqueta adyacente...

1,000 Ud. suministro e instalación en túnel de herraje (perchas)

It is a list without much context. I appreciate your help.

English translation:hung/supported by hangers/fixed by hangers
Explanation:
This "perchado" comes from the noun "percha", which in this context refers to the fittings used in tunnels to fix cables to the tunnel wall, as you can see in this reference:

http://www6.mpt.gob.es/dms/es/ministerio/delegaciones_gobier...
(page 27)

In english, these fittings are called hangers:

http://www.cablejoints.co.uk/sub-product-details/cable-hange...

The adjective/participle used here (perchado) has slightly different meanings in the two occurrences in your text. The first one (perchado a tuneles) would be something like "fixed to tunnels by hangers". The second one (altura de perchado), could be translated roughly as "fixing height" (meaning the height at which the cable is fixed to the wall by these hangers)
