Spanish to English translations [PRO] Cooking / Culinary / restaurant menu
Spanish term or phrase:PUCHERITO
This is part of a restaurante menu (Spanish to UK English). It´s an appetizer:
"PUCHERITO DE VERDURAS OTOÑALES"
So far the best I have come up with is:
- Pot of seasonal fall vegetables
- Pot with seasonal fall vegetables
Not sure about "pot" (sounds a bit bland & doesn´t seem to encompass the cuteness of the dish), and I inserted "seasonal" to make it sound more attractive/appealing. Also, "of" or "with"?
Explanation: Perhaps potage will work for a more up-market feel, given your comments. See below: seems to work for the French, and potage is often used in English too. Think it works well.

You could also use 'seared', I think or 'foie gras seared on the grill', as foie is cooked very quickly. HTH

Seems the French are happy to use the word "potage" next to "foie" in a way that perhaps "stew" doesn't work, although without further context "stew" worked well enough!
