Spanish term or phrase: arroz meloso/arroz caldoso
I am translating a GIGANTIC list of restaurants and their specialities and these terms come up a fair few times, as you can imagine:

Arroz Meloso de Carabineros
Arroz caldoso con bogavante
arroz caldoso con pollo y caracoles
arroz meloso con manitas etc

I need to be clear on this as I can't get in touch with every restaurant (at least 100!). In other translations I have used rice stew for caldoso and creamy rice for meloso but have also seen rice soup for caldoso which fits obviously with caldo. Can anyone help me settle on this?

As arroz caldoso doesn´t exist in the UK I think you can go for either rice broth/brothy rice, rice soup/soupy rice, or rice stew - anything that provides a close description of its texture.

As arroz caldoso doesn´t exist in the UK I think you can go for either rice broth/brothy rice, rice soup/soupy rice, or rice stew - anything that provides a close description of its texture.

Explanation:
I think the difference lies in the testure, with 'meloso' being thicker and creamier than 'caldoso', which can also mean, pejoratively, 'watery'.
