Spanish term or phrase: abstract

Estoy traduciendo un artículo para una revista de economía de español a inglés. Al principio de dicho artículo aparece un resumen del mismo, para el que se utiliza la palabra "ABSTRACT" en español. Mi pregunta es: ¿Se utiliza "abstract" también en inglés en este contexto? ¿O mejor "summary"? ¿Hay diferencias?

En realidad, en español debería decir "Resumen". El que diga "Abstract" en un artículo en español (si se trata de una publicación que es en español) es un anglicismo.

Las publicaciones académicas generalmente tienen al principio este resumen antes de cada artículo. muchas veces, un artículo en español incluye el Resumen en español y además el Abstract en inglés (para llegar a un público mayor)
