agree  philgoddard: Coyuntura means situation, but you can ignore it for translation purposes.

cyclical indicators

Explanation:
They're talking business sentiment/household confidence etc, i.e. the stage of the economic "cycle" (up or down) that Peru was in at the time.
The other two suggestions would also be correct enough, although not as specific.

Just to clarify (hopefully!): economic indicators may also be "structural" in nature, e.g. education, innovation (R&D), infrastructure etc.
Cyclical indicators are more short-term in focus, e.g., in your case, indices based on survey responses to questions such as "do you expect overall economic conditions to be better in 6 months time?"
"Economic sentiment indicator" looks like it would be fine for your text too (I can't say for sure for a US audience), although beware that cyclical indicators can be further divided into "soft" (sentiment/confidence etc) and "hard" (manufacturing output etc) indicators.

Notes to answerer
Asker: I was just looking for something along these lines. I found "Economic sentiment indicator" which applies to the EU but I'm not sure whether it would also apply to US. I'll have in mind your suggestion. Thanks!
