  -> I live in Canada and that´s not the way things work.... the person study a Bachelor degree with a major in what they specialized... not a minor... just check the UANl URL and you´ll see what I mean...

Explanation:
Probably both words will be acceptable, but technically the difference lies in the number of courses in that particular subject that the degree holder has passed. a Major requires more courses (I believe 6, though I am not sure) than a concentration. Hope this helps!
