In a university student's transcript.

"Ordinario" exams are where the student took the course and wrote the exams, and "extraordinario"
is where he got the credit by just passing the exam, without attending the course.

How is it said in English?

Students wishing to demonstrate proficiency may challenge some credit courses by taking a proficiency examination. Students must be in good standing and cannot have completed the course previously with a grade. A fee of $40 for each proficiency examination is payable to the campus cashier's office (located in the campus Student Services Office) prior to testing. A "T/P" will appear on the student's academic record after successful completion of the exam. Credit granted will not apply toward fulfillment of Metro's residency requirement of graduation. Credit awarded will usually not transfer to another college or university.
