Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Social Sciences - Education / Pedagogy / age pyramid - population

I initially thought I could say 'secondary education' for 'medios superiores' but then what do I say for 'estudios secundarios'. What is the difference? This text is describing the population of an area in N Spain.

Many thanks in advance!

English translation:upper secondary education
Explanation:
I am basing this on previous research and the following:

ISCED level 3 is upper secondary education
http://www.unesco.org/education/information/nfsunesco/doc/is...

However, what if "medios superiores" is level 4? i.e. post-secondary non-tertiary? I haven't managed to find any refs about this, but maybe you can/someone else will (I am running out of time, sorry)

estudios superiores I think is definitely tertiary education (ISCED levels 5 and 6)

Other refs (by the way ISCED = CINE in Spanish):

CINE (ISCED): Clasificación Internacional Normalizada de Educación (UNESCO).

not sure of the technical term, this conveys post-secondary education though

further education

Explanation:
In the UK this certainly used to be the term applied to the study of A-levels or similar at FE colleges - post-secondary and pre-university - so it could fit here. Depends if you are translating for the UK or the US, I guess.
