Interiorismo e Intervención de Espacios

A quick Google Images of 'Intervención de Espacios' gives many examples, but I'm having a mental block in coming up with the appropriate term in English. I thought of 'street art' or 'art installations' but wonder if there might be a more accurate term.

(Interior Design and) Spatial Organization

Explanation:
It's not about street art at all, nor is it about public art or design, unless it's intervención de espacios públicos. Courses with this name are really about interior design, and the "espacios" referred to are interior spaces.

The very course description Phil has quoted in support of "public design" says this:
"¿Eres un apasionado por el diseño de espacios interiores y los detalles arquitectónicos?"
http://www.lci.edu.co/programas/programa_interiorismo.aspx

Interior design can be applied to any kind of interior; the course description goes on to mention "nuestros hogares, áreas de trabajo, restaurantes, espacios comerciales, entre otros". But the spaces can be either private or public; intervención de espacios is not public design; it's design of interior spaces.

Here's another description of a course with this title:

I think this course can be called "interior design and spatial organization". The two terms quite commonly go together in English:

"203 Interior Design Studio III 4 (1-9) Course Prerequisite: I D 201. Interior design problem-solving grounded in theories of spatial organization."
http://www.catalog.wsu.edu/General/Academics/Courses/I_D

"Academic Learning Compact: Interior Design
The four-year bachelor of design degree in Interior Design requires you to demonstrate and understand the creative design process and associated skills as they relate to problem solving and spatial organization."

By the way, the second source I cited above, which is a more detailed description of the course at LCI Bogotá, includes "Organización bidimensional" in Cuatrimestre IV and "Organización tridimensional" in Cuatrimestre V.
