Distinction between voltage and current is the ABC of electricity. Using the water analogy: voltage is like water pressure, and current is like water flow. Even the most basic dictionaries will show you: tensión --> voltage corriente --> current And the most basic technical dictionaries will show you: sobretensión --> overvoltage sobrecorriente --> overcurrent Example: Collazo's Technical Dictionary Liz: aside from the dictionaries, you will find zillions of Google references about this. Edward: current is *never* 'expressed as a voltage in numerical terms'. Current may be considered as a consequence of voltage, which is not the same. Current is measured in amperes (and its multiples/submultiples), voltage is measured in volts (and its multiples/submultiples). Anyway, if you don't rely on my 30 years of electronics engineer, no problem. Please ask *any* electrical/electronics engineer about this. |
