Hi all,

Translating from Spanish Spanish to UK English.
Its part of a very large design specification for a large gas pipeline.

Here's some more context, not very useful as it's part of a list....aren't they always!

"2.4. Criterios de segregación de señales en policables

2.4.1. Todas las señales que se incluyan en un policable deberán ser del mismo tipo, clasificación eléctrica y tener el mismo equipo de destino (por ejemplo PLC o DCS).
2.4.2. La igualdad del tipo de señales debe ser absoluta, es decir, no se mezclaran ni tipos de señales entre sí, ni variantes de un mismo tipo, ni con distinta clasificación EEx.
2.4.3. Como consecuencia del punto anterior, no se mezclarán nunca:
a) Señales en mA con señales en tensión (******p.e. contactos******)
b) Señales con distintos niveles de tensión (5 / 24 / 110 / 220 V, etc)
c) Señales de corriente contínua y de corriente alterna
d) Señales propietarias de diferente tipo"

Well you can;t complain there's not enough context :@)
My ideas simply don't fit, best guess is "positive electrode contacts" but why abbreviate "electrodos positivos" to p.e. ??? (However there are one or two standard English abbreviations in the text e.g. PLC -> PLC)
