Spanish to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Electronics / Elect Eng
Spanish term or phrase:bastidor
This is in reference to a preconditioned air (PCA) unit for an air bridge (jet bridge).
"El bastidor de la unidad estará formado por vigas con perfil especial, unidas entre ellas para formar al cuadro principal del bastidor, el cual se verá reforzado mediante unas piezas soportes (para compresores, ventilador de impulsión, etc.), dispuestas de tal forma que el bastidor de la unidad se encuentre hecho un bloque."
Sorry, this is very poor -- but here is my attempt:
"The unit's chassis shall be made from beams with a special profile, joined to form the main frame of the chassis, which shall be reinforced with support parts (for compressors, pressure fans etc.) arranged in such a way that the unit’s chassis is a block."

Thanks for your translation, Luis. Do you not think that "bastidor" and "cuadro" refer to different types of structures? I used "chassis", but I am not sure if that makes sense in this context or not.
The frame of the unit will be constituted by beams with a special profile, joined among them to form the main structure of the frame, which will be reinforced through some support pieces (for compressors, fan drive, etc.), arranged in a way that the frame of the unit is all made as a block. Thnaks por the attention.
IMHO your attempt is fine, although I usually avoid the possessive "s" in a technical text, especially when no people are involved. I would say the "chassis of the unit". As an afterthought, would "frame" fit what you need?
