Los transformadores inductivos tienen una alta propensión a *ferro-resonar* con los
capacitores de gradiente de potencial de los interruptores, razón por cual no se recomienda
su instalación en estaciones donde la tensión del sistema requiera interruptores con más de
una cámara.

El mayor inconveniente que se presenta es la dificultad de encarar estudios que eviten la
aparición del fenómeno de ferro-resonancia, principalmente por la dependencia que dicho
fenómeno tiene del valor de la capacidad del interruptor, de las diferentes configuraciones
que puede adquirir la playa y de los valores de las capacidades de las barras.
