I'm relatively new to the world of freelance and the conditions that you mention are very interesting. Did you write your own conditions or pay a solicitor to draw you up a standard contract for terms and conditions? I would love to know a summary of the other conditions you include.....
This particular condition and its potential to save time is great....

I save myself a lot of time on this kind of question by stipulating in my own terms and conditions: "6) Translations of abbreviations and/or acronyms not previously defined in the source text cannot be guaranteed, except the most common. The author or client should usually provide these definitions." I looks to me like FCA it has a specific meaning in this area/context, so the author should know what it is -and my attitude is "why should I waste time thrashing about blindly to find a solution that is already there?
