Dicha Central, después de turbinar los **caudales del trasvase** del Río Chambo, los descarga al Río Chaune (afluente del Embalse Daule Peripa), en el cual se construirán 2.2 Km. de encauzamiento, lo que permitirá que este caudal sea aprovechado para la producción de energía eléctrica en la Central Smith.
