Spanish to English translations [PRO] Tech/Engineering - Engineering: Industrial / steel smelting | | Spanish term or phrase: banqueo interno del horno | From a Mexican manual listing the stages for molten steel production in an electric arc furnace:
"4. Lanceo de orificio de vaciado; 5. Limpieza de puerta de trabajo; 6. **Banqueo interno del horno** 7. Limpieza de orificio de vaciado"
My various technical dictionaries all give "banqueo" as "benching", but all in a mining context. I'm not sure if the same term would apply to smelting, and can't find it used in any documentation on molten steel production. Any suggestions? |
