I am having some troubles with understanding the content of a technical specification describing the welding process of joints to be assembled in train carriages. Please see further context:
Siempre que sea posible y se juzgue necesario, la soldadura debe empezar y terminar más allá de su longitud útil, mediante el uso de apéndices en ambos extremos.
Estos apéndices deben ser retirados una vez que la junta esté completamente terminada, llevando especial cuidado en no hacerlo violentamente ya que cualquier tipo de impacto está prohibido.
Durante las operaciones de soldeo al arco en aleaciones de aluminio el encendido y apagado del arco debe efectuarse fuera de la longitud útil de la junta. |
