As I said before, the context I have provided in my question is the only context there is - the title of this section is "Apuntadas" and it contains only the sentence I have indicated here. There is no other reference to this term in earlier/later parts of the document. Also, I am pretty sure this word is used as a noun (it does not seem to make much sense to me as an adjective in this particular case).

With all my respect. When you read "the former" or "the latter" in English... is this a noun?? It refers to something in the previous sentence. But maybe you are write. The one with the text in her hands has to decide. We cannot if we do not have the previous sentence. Regards,

As the OP stated, the word is being used as a noun, not an adjective. If you read the complete sentence you will see that this is the case and references are made to the noun e.g. "..autorizadas para ejecutarlas..."

En realidad, "welds" y "spot welds" son el significado de "puntadas". La palabra "apuntadas"... no aparece como sinónimo. O sea que la respuesta que da Eliza tendría que ser revisada en su posibilidad, dependiendo del párrafo anterior. Saludos.
