Por las dimensiones se ve que en este caso no es un dado, el cual estrictamente hablando es la parte cúbica baja de un pedestal entre la base y la moldura. En sus especificaciones, los arquitectos ingleses lo indican como "dado" y los americanos como "die". La columna monolítica es una estructura de una sola pieza.
