The “válvula de descarga rápida de compensador” appears to have to do with releasing pressure. See Diccionario politécnico de las lenguas española e inglesa: I. inglés-españo (Federico Beigbeder Atienza), where some of the translations for “compensador” (among others) are: equal, equalizing, equalizer, balance, compensating, balancing, adjusting, adjuster… Also, 2400 hits for "valvula compensadora de presión" seem to confirm this idea.
Not sure which of the three options would apply to your case. All seem feasible. Arguments for each:
