Spanish term or phrase: cruce de población
Hi, I'd appreciate your help with this term.

The text is about water management.

Context is:
"

Thanks :)

crossing points

Explanation:
Pressumably this refers to points where people cross the river by means other than a bridge (e.g. a ferry)

"Woolwich formed part of Kent until 1889 when the County of London was created. It is notable as a river crossing point, having the Woolwich Ferry (and the lesser-known Woolwich foot tunnel)"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woolwich

"Crossing points upstream were replaced firstly by ferries, and later by rail and road bridges."
http://www.bbc.co.uk/learningzone/clips/bridges-over-the-riv...

And from a piece about my hometown:
"Balloch grew up around an early ferry and river crossing point at the south end of Loch Lomond"
