Spanish term or phrase: compuesta por miles de engranajes
Hi Proz,
This comes up in a translation about formwork in a road building project (overpass) and says:
se hace una revision al final de montaje al tratarse de una estructura tanto compleja y compuesta por miles de engranajes. is it simply componenets as I can't see how gears fits??
Thanks

agree  Charles Davis: I would say "made up of", but "meshing parts" is a good idea.

  -> Thanks Charles.

agree  Jenni Lukac: "Meshing parts" is a brilliant solution.

  -> Thanks, Jenni.

neutral  Dr Neil Ashby: To me "meshing parts" has intonations of moving parts, too close to the askers idea of 'gears'. An overpass doesn't have so many moving parts; more units of 'support, suspension, foundation, road surface, water channeling, etc.' all structural not moving.

Explanation:
I personally prefer interdependent, emphasizing the complexity and the necessity of all of the parts together to create the whole.

Explanation:
Just an idea as we know it has no gear and probably has more than a thousand pieces. but... this one is static.
