Maybe this will help a bit: the reference is to the housing of a VHF/UHF transceiver (also known as a CB radio). I don't know if the aluminum housing has been mechanically treated VIA vibration (in which case I'm still quite sure the term is not "vibrated") or FOR and therefore RESISTANT TO vibration.
