Spanish to English translations [PRO] Environment & Ecology | | Spanish term or phrase: para ser considerada frecuentemente (help with a sentence) | From a text describing the flora and fauna in Dehesas de Sierra Morena, a protected area in the south of Spain. Everything is fine apart from the last bit - is it my imagination or is it really clumsily expressed?
Dehesas de Sierra Morena se caracteriza por tener representantes típicos del bosque mediterráneo, aunque aparecen enclaves representativos de tipo atlántico, como rebollares y castañares. Las condiciones particulares de Sierra Morena son apropiadas para dar cabida a una variedad notable de especies de reptiles y aves, ***y para ser considerada frecuentemente entre las zonas en donde se encuentran especies de distribución limitada***. |

9 mins confidence: peer agreement (net): +2 for often being considered
Explanation: It's not particularly clumsy in my opinion. What about "and for often being considered among the regions where species of limited distribution occur"

10 mins confidence: ..., featuring frequently as one of the areas where species with a limited distribution can be found

39 mins confidence: peer agreement (net): +2 ...to make it one of the regions most often associated with... (full sentence below)
Explanation: Species "of limited distribution": 220,000 search hits on Google (species "with limited distribution" 180,000)....... "Eleven species of mosquitoes occurring in Florida are not known from any ... of limited distribution ... dealing with those species unique to Florida or ..." In any case, in my view the word 'distribution' absolutely must be used in the translation, as it is one of the bedrock concepts/terms in biology, ecology, and related sciences.
Example sentence(s):- "Conditions in the Sierra Morena are such as to give rise to a remarkable variety of reptile and bird species, and to make it one of the regions most often associated with species of limited distribution."
