There are two documents: the EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) and the EIS (Environmental Impact Statement)

Yes, I know about the EIA and the EIS. However, I think a "Statement" is one thing and a "statement" is another. I'm sorry, but I think the word "document" is far more common in Spanish than in English and I always try to think of a better word. A statement simply states facts and in this case the facts need to be supplied to whoever has asked for them. Although "document" is not incorrect, it could refer to a document that asks for information, provides information, etc.
