Spanish term or phrase: alcornocal
I know this is the name of a mountain range in Southern Spain, but what does the word mean generically?

cork (oak) grove
Explanation:
I think it's smaller than a "region." The since "alcornoque" is "cork oak," the usual construction would be "cork oak grove." But since that is so awkward to pronounce, I would simplify it to "cork grove."

Sorry about the misplaced \"The\" in the first line of my explanation. Comes from starting the sentence out one way and backing up and starting over. ;-)

region/area with cork oaks

Explanation:
I guess in Spanish alcornocal is a region where there are many cork oaks (alcornoques), as well as robledal is a region where there are many oak trees (robles)...
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Javi
