Spanish to English translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Finance (general) / name of a bank | | Spanish term or phrase: Banco Hipotecario | Hi everyone
Referring to Banco Hipotecario de Chile.
Does anyone know how to translate Hipotecario here? I know it means mortgage, but Mortgage Bank? I've thought of leaving it in Spanish, but then I've translated Central Bank... I'm not very au fait with finance so I'd appreciate any suggestions :)

| Grading comment Thanks for everyone's suggestions; I found Mary's comment most helpful because it explained the 'rule' of when to translate and not to. Thanks also to Marten and Maria Eugenia for the note on the difference with the Central Bank - I hadn't thought of that. 4 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer |
