Context:

The Regulations of a Pension Plan.

Definitions:

"Partícipe en suspenso.

Es cualquier persona que, habiendo sido partícipe del Plan, haya cesado en la realización de sus aportaciones al Plan, "tanto directas como imputadas", manteniendo sus derechos, bla..bla.."

OK. An "inactive participant" is one who has ceased to pay contributions into the Plan -
I understand the "aportaciones directas" but not the "imputadas".

Any ideas?

Explanation:
in other words, they're paid by the employer, then attributed to the employee, just like any other imputed benefit (staff used to have the value of free lunches imputed as income at JP Morgan...)
