Bus/Financial - Finance (general) / Balance sheet
Spanish term or phrase: hacienda publica deudor por diversos conceptos
it appears on the assets side of the balance sheet
drg
receivable from public authorities
Explanation:
Definition from Spanish Plan General de Contabilidad

"470. Hacienda Publica, deudor por diversos conceptos.
Subvenciones, compensaciones, desgravaciones, devoluciones de impuestos y, en general, cuantas percepciones sean debidas por motivos fiscales o de fomento realizadas por las Administraciones Públicas, excluidas la Seguridad Social."

So you see it's a very mixed bag. As well as tax credits and tax refunds, it also includes subsidies granted but not yet received. So "tax" is not really the right word.
Some Spanish companies use "Receivable from public authorities"

agree  Nikki Graham: interesting point. I have used "other tax receivable" in the past. It does, after all, say hacienda publica... Do you know of any other options?

-> Nikki - most people translate it as "tax receivables. That is accepted by most audit firms in Spain as a valid translation. I don't know what IFRS would call this.
