| | redeemed subject to a capital stock decrease | Explanation: These are shares or some other type of instrument that is "redeemed". It has nothing to do with "amortization", which is usually related to paying a liability of some sort. In addition, "capital social" is "capital stock". Black's Law Dictionary defines "capital stock" as follows:
The total number of shares of stock that a corporation may issue under its charter or articles of incorporation, including both common stock (acciones ordinarias) and preferred stock (acciones preferenciales / acciones preferentes).
Black's Law Dictionary also defines "redeemable security" as follows:
Any security, other than a short-term note, that , when resented to the issuer, entitles the holder to receive a share of the issuer0s assets or the cash equivalent.
Negotiable instruments (shares of stock, debentures, etc.) are redeemed (amortizados).
The verbs "increase" or "decrease" are used in reference to capital stock, as shown in the various editions of "Accounting Trends & Techniques" published by the AICPA every year.
Hope this helps.

Correction:
INCORRECT: when "resented" to the issuer.
CORRECT: when "presented" to the issuer.
Sorry about the typo. I was typing so fast that I inadvertently left out the "p". |
