Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Finance (general) / Credit card transactions
Spanish term or phrase: tarjeta en negativos
This term appears twice in a list of possible reasons why a credit card may not be accepted by a countertop pinpad device as follows:

Tarjeta en negativos por robo o extravío
Tarjeta en negativos

According to the client, it means the following:
"Una "tarjeta en negativos" significa que está en una lista de tarjetas con incidencia (dada de baja por robo, extravío, por ser "incorriente" su titular, etc) en lenguaje bancario"

I don't know how to say this is English, all ideas would be most welcome.

This is Spanish from Spain for UK English.

Thanks!

Thank you all for your help. In the end, and after discussion with the client, we went with "card reported due to theft or loss" and "reported card". According to the client, it wasn't an overdrawn account, and we were reluctant to use "on hold" because of other connotations (having a card "on hold" can mean that, say, a hotel has your credit card details as a deposit in case you damage a room). "Card blocked" was not an option because it appeared as another entry on the list (which I failed to mention at first, sorry!). I am giving my points to Charlotte for her speed and her "on hold" suggestion, but modifying the glossary entry accordingly.

Many thanks again to all of you for your help,

Becky.
