Actos Jurídicos Documentados

Explanation:
Decree tax

agree  Maria Garcia: You're right, but I've found many references for Deed tax too. Could "deed tax" be the US version of your stamp duty?

-> Hi Maria. In this context it may be the same - but I think stamp duty (in British English) can apply to more than just real property deeds and transfers.

Stamp duty

Explanation:

I do, in fact, mean stamp duty. Some years ago, I worked very regularly for one of the multinational audit/tax/law firms in Madrid. The standard translation for "Impuesto sobre transmisiones patrimoniales y actos jurídicos documentados" era "transfer tax and stamp duty".

I have just consulted the "Diccionario Espasa de Economía y Negocios", published by Espasa Calpe in Madrid and prepared by the audit/tax/law firm Arthur Andersen (which has nothing to do with the firm I worked for, although it is similar) and the translation is exactly the same.

Good luck, Peter !
