Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Finance (general)
Spanish term or phrase: OPS
The line goes: OPV/OPAS/OPS.
If OPV es "oferta pública de ventas", OPAS "Ofertas públicas de acquisición", what is OPS? "Ofertas públicas"??

primary offering
Explanation:
Oferta pública de suscripción - i.e. new shares (as opposed to pre-existing shares being sold in an OPV = "secondary offering"). Sometimes you get the two together.
For clarity, note that OPS and OPV both involve selling securities, whereas OPA involves buying securities.
Also, neither OPS nor OPV map directly to IPO (Initial Public Offering) since an IPO may involve new shares (OPS) or pre-existing shares (OPV) or both (OPS/OPV)
