El abandono de la actividad de moldes ha erosionado los ingresos del ejercicio 2006 en un 4,3% sobre un descenso del 6,7%.
Here's my first thought:
The abandonment of moulds activity has eroded income in financial year 2006 by 4.3% over a fall of 6.7%.
...but what does the 6.7% refer to? |

The Larousse has different entries of "descenso" including "fall", as you mentioned.
My understanding as to the maning is that overall income for the fiscal year 2006 has fallen 6.7%, or which 4,3% is because of the mold activity. |
