Es del mismo contrato y entiendo perfectamente lo que quiere decir pero no me gusta como queda en inglés, por eso me gustaría saber sus comentarios.
xxxxxx se sustituyó en todos los derechos y obligaciones respecto a las concesiones mineras. (Venía hablando sobre un contrato de cesión minera)
Explanation: El problema puede estar en el hecho que "sustuir" va al revés en inglés y en el español:
La pintura azul se sustuyó = the room starts out painted blue and ends up painted (white).
Blue paint was substituted for the white = the room starts out painted white and ends up painted blue.
Of course, it sometimes depends on prepositions in Spanish, i.e., a/por.
And more context would help, that is, the sentence before or a sentence where both XX and ZZ appear.

Bueno, en ese caso, pondría "XX assumed all the rights and obligations..." (siempre que sea XX que quedó con los derechos y obligationes, y no la otra empresa que no se nombra).
"took over" también valdría, pero como bien dices, "XX replaced in..." no queda bien sin poner a la otra. Ahora bien, cabría poner algo como "XX replaced the previous company...", sin poner un nombre específico.
Pero me parece que no queda bien, porque si no entiendo mal, ahí dice que esta nueva empresa tendrá los derechos y obligaciones .que antes estaban a cargo de la otra....
