Bus/Financial - Finance (general) / Goodwill
Spanish term or phrase: que aún no han comenzado a funcionar
Deifinition of goodwill:

El fondo de comercio corresponde con negocios que aún no han comenzado a funcionar. Según las estimaciones de la dirección, la actividad comenzará en 2009 y el margen bruto de cada ejercicio superará ampliamente el valor del fondo de comercio contabilizado.

Struggling to translate 'funcionar' in this context.

Rough draft: Goodwill refers to business operations/elements that have yet to....?

I can't see how 'function' or 'operate' would work in this instance...

Many thanks!

that are not yet operational / in operation

Explanation:
The 'Starting a Small Business' option assumes your **business is not yet operational**, but the 'Running a Small Business' assumes you've been running a small business for at least 6 months.

The U.S. enterprise must already be established or significant steps must already have been taken to establish it. If the **business is not yet operational**, a business plan with legal guarantees that demonstrate a very high probability of implementation will be necessary.
