Explanation:
The verb "tener" in this case is used as an auxiliary verb instead of "haber". The funny thing is that "tener-to have" usually talk about possession or ownership, but that is when "tener-to have" is used as the principal verb. I never saw anything like this before until I began to do financial translations.

Always be on the alert for "tener" when it is used as an auxiliary verb because in such cases, the real meaning is "haber" and functions as an auxiliary verb.
