This is from a document sent to customers by a bank . The aim is to collect information from investing customers about their knowledge/understanding of making investments. It is required by law.

"En cumplimiento de lo dispuesto en el artículo 5 de la Ley Orgánica 15/1999, de 13 de diciembre, de Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal (en adelante LOPD), Caja X le informa que los datos de carácter personal que nos proporcione en este formulario serán incorporados a un fichero del cual es responsable Caja X y serán tratados con la finalidad de llevar a cabo la evaluación antes mencionada, exigida por las leyes vigentes.

Estos datos se conservarán durante todo el tiempo de duración de la inversión y hasta transcurrido el plazo de prescripción de acciones personales que pudieran derivarse del mandato de inversión o desinversión de que se trate."
