Certificado de Participación de Valores en Custodia (CEPVACUS)

El Cepvacus ó Certificado de Participación de Valores en Custodia, es un título valor que se origina en la Bolsa Centroamericana de Valores como resultado de un mercado financiero en rápido desarrollo que exigía flexibilidad adecuada en ciertas operaciones bursátiles. Este es un título valor innominado, es decir, un título creado por la costumbre, los usos bancarios y mercantiles. Su creación se fundamenta en la base legal que dió origen al Reporto, el cual está tipificado en el Código de Comercio.

El CEPVACUS se caracteriza por ser un título valor "divisible" o "desmembrable" de otro título o cartera de instrumentos financieros.

A diferencia del Reporto, el CEPVACUS no tiene restricciones en lo que se refiere al número de participaciones o al plazo del mismo. Siendo sus únicas limitantes aquellas que establece el título o cartera original de la que se desmembra, como ser el que la suma de las participaciones no podrá sobrepasar su monto global, y el que el plazo de las participaciones no podrá exceder el vencimiento de los títulos que respaldan la operación.

Thanks, Sharon! I had checked out the Honduran WEB site you mention, but I didn't find any specific English-language translation in terms of "certificado de valor"; however, if you go to www.fiap.cl/Boletin11b.pdf, as suggested by Wendy Griswold, who had this same predicament as posted on proz.com back in the year 2000, you will find "certificados de valor constante" = "constant value certificates"; by the way, as far as translation goes, this particular WEB site is better than most. So traveling on that assumption, as our attotney friends would say and probably Tom, I will take "divisible value certificate" as the appropriate translation in the absence of anything specific in my different financial, trading, banking and business dictionaries. Moreover, Chilean terminology is different. In this country, a "ministro sumariante" is a "prosecutor". Anyway, thanks, and as your answer is the best so far, I'll award you points.
