Managed Diversified Equity Income Fund (NYSE: ETJ - News), a diversified closed-end investment company, today announced the earnings of the Fund for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2008. The Fund’s fiscal year ends on December 31, 2008.
For the three months ended September 30, 2008, the Fund had net investment income of $2,028,488 ($0.029 per common share). For the nine months ended September 30, 2008, the Fund had net investment income of $8,371,227 ($0.119 per common share).
Net realized and unrealized losses for the three months ended September 30, 2008 were $22,186,519 ($0.319 per common share) and net realized and unrealized losses for the nine months ended September 30, 2008 were $26,008,010 ($0.370 per common share).
On September 30, 2008, net assets of the Fund were $1,298,033,472. The net asset value per common share on September 30, 2008 was $18.40 based on 70,539,727 common shares outstanding.
