Reference: money laundering includes assets

Reference information:
In some countries it is quite common to say "lavado de activos" and yet that too is "money laundering." "money" in this case does not mean only cash or money itself, but also includes assets acquired from profits made through illegal activities.

agree  RichardDeegan: Actually, "assets" includes money, and was incorporated to include non-cash transfers of property. See UN GA report of 9 Nov 2001 dealing with the inadequacy of just "money" laundering..

-> Yes, but in usage in court, etc., even though it includes assets the way we always express it is "money laundering." I am referring to actual usage in practice, although I agree with you that "money" is a subset of "assets."
