I would not have been surprised if "realize profits" were picked as the answer because investors sometimes want to convert paper profits into actual profits. FYI, profits are not always capitalized as they can be used as cash to pay for a vacation, for example, among other uses. Profit capitalization, from the finance professional's viewpoint, refers to what businesses do, namely, converting net income/profit into retained earnings mainly for the purpose of expansion.
