Report on foreign direct investment in Mexico
This is a report prepared by the Foreign Investment Bureau (DGIE) of the Mexican Ministry of Economy, which describes the contents and purpose of the report as follows:
REPORTEADOR DE LOS FLUJOS DE INVERSION EXTRANJERA DIRECTA EN MEXICO
Con el objetivo de aportar elementos de análisis que, de manera oportuna, sirvan de apoyo a la toma de decisiones de los diferentes agentes económicos, la Dirección General de Inversión Extranjera (DGIE) pone a su disposición el reporteador para obtener los flujos de inversión extranjera directa en México (IED), de acuerdo a la nacionalidad del inversionista, el destino sectorial y el geográfico de la inversión.
Se dispone de información sobre flujos de IED para el periodo comprendido entre el primer trimestre de 1999 y el último trimestre reportado. Los flujos de IED se presentan en millones de dólares y se refieren a movimientos de inversión que ya han sido realizados y que fueron registrados en la DGIE; esto es, no se incluyen los montos (estimados) de inversiones externas que se sabe ya fueron realizados pero que aún no han sido registrados ante la DGIE (véase nota metodológica).
Para solicitar los flujos de inversión se debe seleccionar un periodo comprendido entre dos trimestres (primer trimestre de 1999 y el segundo trimestre de 2009) La información sobre IED se puede disponer de manera trimestral o anual. |
