Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Bus/Financial - Finance (general) / banking
Spanish term or phrase: Fuera Plaza
This is from a cheque deposit form. There is a column for P (Plaza) or FP (Fuera Plaza). I understand this to mean that the cheque being deposited has not been drawn on the bank where it is being deposited (as is actually the case), but what is the normal English term and abbreviation for this concept.

non-local
Explanation:
plaza vs fuera plaza is local vs. non-local.

Explanation:
My colleague Marian above has more experience in the field, and chances are she is right. In case "fuera plaza" refers to a check drawn on a different financial institution, in the US we would refer to that as a "Foreign Transaction". I don't know whether there is a standard abbreviation, but "FT" would be my suggestion (although I have also seen it used for Funds Transfer...)
