Asker: Thank you Joel (and Margaret and Ruth). I've been using "settlements" so far, pending answers here. But it didn't seem right to me. For example, in the sentence I used above, "Under no circumstances will it generate negative settlements..." sounds slightly odd to me.
Most Google searches yield terms like "negative settlement amounts", "negative settlement price", "negative settlement residues" etc.
But based on your answer and 2 agreers, it seems it is ok (though I haven't found any convincing examples). But I guess it must be right...
