A haircut is a percentage that is subtracted from the par value of assets being used as collateral. En el caso de adelantos de fondos, el Factor retiene, en concepto de garantía, entre un 15% a un 25% del valor nominal de los documentos (facturas, cheques, pagares, etc.). Este aforo es reintegrado al cedente a medida que el Factor va cobrando los documentos.
Factoring con recurso.
En este caso, a diferencia del anterior, es el cedente quien soporta el riesgo de insolvencia, ya que el Factor solo administra la gestión de cobranzas.
Si el crédito cedido no está instrumentado en documentos negociables, el Factor estima un aforo, como garantía, sobre el monto transferido. Ante el incumplimiento del deudor, el Factor carga al cedente el crédito afectando el aforo.
