Spanish term or phrase: ser consultado
I know I'm probably being dense regarding this usage, but I just can't seem to come up with the right expression in English. This is part of a list of duties of a committee. Nearly all of the duties start with "Ser consultado". The one's that don't, start with Intervernir which I have translated as "Take part in...."

Here are a couple of examples:

To answer advice or information requests (from) (about) ...
Explanation:
As you are using a construction begining with 'To' in the other cases, maybe it would be neater to start this way, this is my suggestion or sth along these lines, regards.

You wrote that part of the duties is: to answer/respond...

If it's part of their duties they must do it. It's implied.

Sorry, I have to go...

Notes to answerer
Asker: I like the sound of respond to requests, but I'm not sure that is what this means. It says "ser consultado" almost like a command. It sounds to me like they MUST be consulted regarding these things - like their advice or approval is required any ideas?
